A top junior college golfer is joining the Colorado women’s program.
Maria Eidhagen Harrouch, a two-time junior college All-American, will join the Colorado women’s golf team this fall.
A native of Gävle, Sweden, Harrouch arrives at CU following two stellar seasons at Pima (Ariz.) Community College, where she earned back-to-back National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division I All-America honors. Harrouch was eighth at the 2022 NJCAA Women’s National Championship and tied for 16th in 2023.
Harrouch won six straight events during the 2023 season, highlighted by medalist honors at the NJCAA Southwest District Tournament at the Hillcrest Golf Club in Sun City West, Ariz., clinching the title with a career-best 6-under-par, 66, in the final round. In 16 career events at Pima CC, Harrouch registered 15 top-10 finishes and was in the top five eight times.
“We are so thrilled to add Maria to our team,” CU head coach Anne Kelly said in a release. “She has made impressive improvement in her game and is a very hard worker. She clearly has enthusiasm and passion for the game. Maria had a very successful junior college career and we can’t wait to see what she does in the Pac-12.”
