NOTES: CU returns home after an 86-85 overtime loss at Texas Tech on Wednesday. The Buffs coughed up a 16-point lead, but got into foul trouble. Three players fouled out and CU had 34 total fouls – the second-most in program history. … CU has won 27 consecutive nonconference home games. In Payne’s tenure, the Buffs are 40-2 at home against nonconference foes. … CU is 7-0 all-time against the Falcons, including a 58-53 win in Boulder on Nov. 14, 2021. That was the closest game in the series. The Buffs had won every other meeting with AFA by at least 21 points. … Air Force is off to a 3-0 start for the first time since the 2005-06 season. … Air Force has yet to leave the state. After opening with a win at Denver, the Falcons defeated Navy and Adams State at home. … The Falcons had the best season in program history last year, setting AFA records for total wins (19) and conference wins (11). Gobrecht was the Mountain West Conference coach of the year.
