NOTES: This is the first matchup between the Buffs and Cal State Fullerton…CU is coming off a 2-0 win on Sunday against Stony Brook, netting goals from Sharts and James…James has scored eight goals in 22 career games. In other years that game total might count as a full freshman year, and in that scenario James’ eight goals would be tied for the fourth-most by a freshman in CU history. The two former Buffs with eight goals as freshmen are Brie Hooks, who played 19 games as a freshman in 2013, and Marty Puketapu, who played 20 games as a freshman in 2017. Due to the 2020-21 pandemic year, James’ true freshman season earlier this year was limited to 17 games…Four of Fullerton’s five losses have been one-goal decisions. The exception was a 3-0 loss at home against UCLA, currently ranked fourth in the nation…Following the match the Buffs play their next three games on the road, beginning Sunday at Purdue (noon MT).
