NOTES: Eriana Henderson was a lead alternate in the hurdles and was called up to the Trials on Tuesday following a lineup scratch. Henderson finished 19th in the preliminary round at the NCAA championships…Coburn, the reigning Olympic bronze medalist in the steeplechase, is the top-ranked athlete in the event (9:02.35)…Herrera is coming off a disappointing 15th-place finish in the 5K at the NCAA West Preliminaries. CU coach Mark Wetmore admitted Herrera has appeared worn down in recent weeks. ”I blamed myself for (Herrera) not feeling well great down there in College Station (at the prelims),” Wetmore told BuffZone. “He’s been pushing really hard for over a year. I didn’t get him enough rest along the way. He’s in the Trials, so hopefully we can solve it by the Trials.”…Constien, who is ranked third in the nation and 14th in the world in the steeplechase, has a chance to give former Buffs two spots on Team USA, alongside Coburn’s expected bid…On Wednesday, Hurta and men’s thrower Caleb Penner were named CU’s recipients of the Pac-12 Tom Hansen Medals, given to a male and female senior at each league institution who display, “the greatest combination of performance and achievement in scholarship, athletics and leadership.”
