Colorado freshman Shyra James was selected as the Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week on Monday.
The first-year forward from La Mesa, Calif., registered both game-winning goals for the Buffaloes last week. James started the week, picking up CU’s third goal in the Buffs’ double-overtime win over then-No. 14 Southern California. James then scored the lone goal in Colorado’s 1-0 win at Utah.
James tied Hannah Sharts for the team lead in goals (4) and points (9) this season. The CU duo ranks 10th in the Pac-12 in points.
James has played in all 10 games for the Buffs this season, starting in nine. Her four goals are already tied for 9th most by a freshman in CU history.
