CU Buffs women’s lacrosse Pac-12 opener against Oregon postponed

Pending storm shifts Sunday tilt against San Diego State to Indoor Practice Facility

The Pac-12 Conference opener for the Colorado women’s lacrosse team will have to wait for another day.

On Wednesday night, the University of Oregon announced it has been forced to postpone its trip through Colorado due to COVID-19 concerns within the program. The Ducks were slated to play at CU on Friday in both teams’ Pac-12 opener before visiting the University of Denver on Sunday.

No makeup date was announced for the Oregon contest. The Buffs still are scheduled to host San Diego State on at 10 a.m., though on Thursday morning announced that match will be moved to the Indoor Practice Facility due to the pending winter storm. Due to the venue change, the usual limited number of player guests welcomed at outdoor games at Kittredge Field will not be allowed.

CU (1-2) now will not play its first Pac-12 game until a March 20 home date against No. 21 Stanford.
