CU Buffs women’s soccer at No. 10 Cal Golden Bears

RECORDS: Colorado 3-1-1, 0-0-1 Pac-12 Conference; Cal 2-0-0, 1-0-0 Pac-12.

KEY PLAYERS: Colorado — F Shyra James, Fr. (two goals, one assist); D Hannah Sharts, Jr. (two goals); GK Dani Hansen, R-So. (.941 save percentage, 0.47 goals-against average). Cal — F/MF  Emma Westin,Sr. (two goals); F Anysa Gray, Fr. (one goal); MF Paige Metayer, Jr. (one goal); GK Angelina Anderson, So. (.857 save percentage, 0.50 goals-against average).

NOTES: CU is coming off its first loss of the season, a 2-1 decision at Washington on Sunday…James has posted six of the Buffs’ 20 shots on goal…Cal began the season with a road sweep in Oregon, topping Oregon State 3-1 in the opener before defeating Oregon 1-0…The all-time series between the Buffs and Cal is even at 4-4-2. CU is 3-1-1 in the past five matchups and is 3-0-1 in the past four games in Berkeley…CU defender Lawson Willis, a freshman from Centennial, is the only Buffs player with two assists so far…Hansen is the Pac-12’s early leader in save percentage and total saves (32). She is the co-leader with three shutouts and ranks third in save percentage…A challenging weekend in the Bay Area continues on Sunday for the Buffs at No. 23 Stanford (1 p.m. MT, Pac-12 Networks).
