NOTES: CU head coach Danny Sanchez announced staff news on Thursday, adding volunteer assistant coach Jasmine White while promoting Craig Alston from volunteer assistant to Director of Player Development. Alston owns an extensive local background, working previously at Metro State and Broomfield SC, among others. White, a former star at Grandview High in Aurora, also is on staff at Real Colorado…CU posted a 3-0 win last week against Northern Colorado behind goals from Hannah Sharts, Shyra James, and Jesse Loren…It was the first collegiate goal for James, a freshman forward from La Mesa, Calif.…Dani Hansen and Megan Short have split the first two starts at goalkeeper. Hansen, a Monarch alum and a transfer from Washington, made six saves in the season-opening win against Denver. Short, a redshirt freshman, wasn’t truly tested in her first career start last week against Northern Colorado, posting the shutout without having to make a save…This is the first matchup between CU and Weber State…Weber State opened the season last week with a 1-1 tie against Utah…The Buffs open Pac-12 Conference play with their next match on Feb. 26 at Washington. Two days later, CU also will face the Huskies in a nonconference match.
