NOTES: This match originally was scheduled for Saturday but was moved up in order to stay ahead of the wintry outlook in Saturday’s forecast…This is the season opener for Northern Colorado, though the Bears suffered a 4-0 loss against Denver in an exhibition match…Despite opening the season with an overtime win against DU, the Buffs still are seeking their first goal of the season. CU prevailed when a long crossing pass from defender Sofia Weiner deflected off a Pioneers player for a winning own-goal…The Bears’ most recent match was against the Buffs. CU posted a 6-0 win against UNC in the first round of the 2019 NCAA Tournament, with Geraghty and Yarnell-Williams among the Buffs’ six different goal scorers. CU also defeated UNC 4-0 during the 2019 regular season…The Buffs are schedule to complete the traditional portion of the nonconference schedule on Feb. 20 at home against Weber State. CU will play two Pac-12 rivals — Utah and Washington — in nonconference games later this season.
