The Colorado women’s basketball team will have to wait another few more days for a chance to get back on the winning track.
Late Saturday night, the school’s athletic department sent a release saying the game scheduled for Sunday afternoon between the Buffaloes and the Arizona Wildcats was postponed due to COVID-19 protocols within the Arizona program, taking a third game away from the schedule in just the past five weeks.
Games against Arizona State (Dec. 20) and UCLA (Jan. 8) were also postponed, and neither of those two have been rescheduled as of yet.
The Buffs were hoping for a chance to shake off a 51-47 loss Friday to Arizona State, as well as get a second crack at the Wildcats, who beat them 62-59 back on Dec. 18 at the CU Events Center. Arizona is currently ranked No. 10 in the nation.
Colorado returns home next week for games against Oregon State (Jan. 29) and No. 13 Oregon (Jan. 31).
