There is good news for Colorado basketball fans. You no longer have to load up on coffee in order to watch one of the Buffaloes’ biggest games of the season.
On Wednesday afternoon, CU announced the tipoff time for Thursday’s home matchup against No. 17 Oregon has been moved up to 3 p.m. from 9 p.m. It was one of several new schedule announcements, as CU also finalized a makeup date for the previously postponed home date against Washington State.
Thursday’s showdown against the Ducks still will air nationally on Fox Sports 1, with the radio broadcast available on KOA (850 AM and 94.1 FM).
Most immediately among the other schedule changes, the Buffs’ slate for next week grew busier, as CU now will play at Utah on Monday (Jan. 11). The game originally was scheduled to be each teams’ regular season finale on March 6, but by moving the game to Monday it will allow both teams added flexibility for potential final-week makeup dates — which likely will be a key move, given the Buffs go into Thursday’s game against Oregon having played as many Pac-12 games (three) as they’ve had postponed.
The tipoff time for Monday’s date at Utah has not yet been finalized, but it will air on Pac-12 Networks. (UPDATE: The game at Utah on Jan. 11 will tip at 4 p.m. MT).
Because of that new Monday date, next week’s date against Cal, originally scheduled for Wednesday Jan. 13, now will be played on Thursday the 14th. The tip time has moved to noon but will still air on Pac-12 Networks. The Jan. 16 scheduled home date against Stanford remains unchanged (1 p.m., Pac-12 Networks).
And finally, as expected the makeup date against for the Washington State home date, originally scheduled for Dec. 5, will be played at the CU Events Center on Jan. 27 at 7 p.m. That game will air on ESPNU.
