For the second time this week, the Colorado football team has added some defensive back talent to its 2021 recruiting class.

On Thursday, Tyrin Taylor of William Amos Hough (N.C.) High School announced his verbal commitment to the Buffaloes.

A 6-foot-2, 175-pound cornerback, Taylor has a 3-star rating from 247Sports.com and Rivals.com. According to 247Sports, Taylor has 13 scholarship offers. He also had Connecticut, Kansas and Virginia Tech in his final four.

Earlier this week, CU got a commitment from defensive back Trustin Oliver of Iowa Western Community College.

The Buffs, who have only nine seniors on the roster this season, now have seven players verbally committed for the 2021 class.

Joining Oliver and Taylor: tight end Erik Olsen (Heritage High); linebacker Zephaniah Maea (Henderson, Nev.); receiver Chase Penry (Cherry Creek High); guard Jackson Anderson (Mineola, Tex.); and defensive end Allan Baugh (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.).
