All righty, we'll wrap it up here. Thanks all for tuning in! Have a good upcoming week and we will do this again on Friday the 22nd. Once again, Brian Howell will have his chat on Monday at noon. Thanks again.....Pat R.You're welcome. And I couldn't agree more! Thanks, and I'm sure we are all hoping to see games this coming season. His background certainly is more refined than the last few European recruits, but it's hard for me to assess just how ready he is until we see him in action at practice. And I wrote about this a few weeks ago, but given the current situation it could be a while before we see him on campus, unfortunately.Any word on the new MBB recruit from Germany, e.g., is he more ready than the last few European recruits?I've got time for one or two more if anyone wants to get in before the buzzer. And same to you! Hope everyone is doing well out there.Cool. I’ll have to look Moose up. Have a good week; stay healthy, stay safe, and most importantly everyone stay the heck away from me! :)Player turnover has been an issue under JR Payne. To my knowledge no one else is in the transfer portal just now. All the open scholarships are full now, so not expecting any updates unless someone else does indeed leave.Any updates on the women’s team? 2 more transfers this year and rumors there may be more. I thought the chemistry was all on with this group? My current editor wouldn't be offended, as he knows this man too, but the answer for that would be Kevin "Moose" Huhn at the Rocky Mountain News. He's still a good friend. I had a few good ones when I was a youngin' in Chicago--Mary Ullmer, Bob Vanderberg (GREAT White Sox historian!), and Rich La Sussa. That’s awesome, I know you’ve mentioned your Chicago history before. Who has been your favorite editor to work for? (I guess besides your current boss if they’re reading haha)Actually just got around to watching pt 6 last night. That Paxson 3-pointer is an all-timer for me!Yes, and I've very much enjoyed it! Grew up a Bulls fan and I lived in Chicago in the 90s. Great times. I'd started my first post-college sports clerk job at the Chi Tribune when the second 3-peat happened. Great memories.Have you been watching the Chicago Bulls documentary? Ive really enjoyed it.Been slow going today, understandably, but I'll be here until 1 if you want to chime in!One programming note while it's a bit slow, but Brian Howell will be back at his usual live chat time slot on Monday at noon. My next chat will be in two weeks, on Friday the 22ndI DO believe this team maybe wasn't as mentally tough as advertised. They didn't compete well in a couple tough road venues (KU, UA), had a couple bad late collapses at home (OSU, UCLA), and then during that losing streak you could see them get slumped shoulders and that sort of thing whenever the flow of the games turned against them.Honestly, I think it was a bad slump at the worst time of year. I realize that's not overly-analytical, but while they had a few dud games along the way up to that point, they never had a prolonged funk. Unfortunately for Buffs fans, that happened in early March. I don't think it was a matter of not buying in at all. This was a pretty together group. What was the real reason for the 5 game collapse at the end of the season? Why was Tad unable to stop the bleeding and does he really have any effective offensive schemes? or is is just that the players dont buy in?Of course, I'm like you and everyone else---kind of stuck waiting to see what happens over the next six weeks or so. I think by the end of June we'll have a better feel for where football is at.That's a good question whether it's quiet or not! Right now, I'm fairly confident basketball will unfold on schedule. Now, there might be crowd restrictions, but I don't think they'll go completely crowd-less. However I'm not as confident football will happen on time. Just my two cents, but I'm of the opinion we'll have a season, it will just be delayed.Pat, if it’s a little quiet today I’m curious if you would share your crystal ball on when sports return and what they look like. Does the college basketball season start on time / look the same?Greetings. I don't know exactly hour many credits he's finished or anything like that, but I'm sure he's on track to graduate a year from now. Personally, I'd consider it a huge shocker if he wasn't back next year. He's not a hot draft commodity and he won't be transferring.Hi Pat, Just curious if you knew how close McKinley Wright is to graduating? Can you envision any scenario where he is not back with the Buffs next year?No worries!Pardon my speech to text errors.Greetings NJ. Kim English was a popular assistant, and he's certainly an up-and-comer in the coaching ranks. But I don't think he was irreplaceable. Anthony Coleman is a good coach too, and helped land Jabari Walker. Until the last five games, this was a better team than a year earlier anyway. As we look back on all of the assistance that worked for boil I really think Kim English was one of the best. I also think this team lost something when he departed. What are your thoughts?I'll be here for the next hour or so to take your questions and chat about all things CU Buffs.Greetings Buffs fans and thanks for being here! Hope everyone is healthy and safe out there. Thanks for tuning in. We'll begin at noon MT.
