All right seems we've run out of steam here so we'll wrap it up. Thanks all for tuning in! Please stay safe out there and hope everyone is coping well and healthy. We'll do this again in two weeks.....Pat R.Got time for a few more folks, but the shot clock is ticking.Yes. I'd guess the numbers for his minutes will depend on how ready Luke O'Brien is to contribute immediately.Does Maddox Daniels rotate in at the 3 position? He completely overhauled his shooting mechanics last offseason and it paid off. I would think with another summer to fine-tun that he should improve again next year. I like his game. His athleticism is a bit overlooked. If he can roll up his sleeves and do the dirty work more consistently defensively, he'll have an important spot in the rotation, no doubt.I was encouraged by Parquet's slow but steady development last year. His shot is much improved and he is very athletic as well as a good defender. I am hopeful that as he continues to gain confidence, he will take a big leap this year. Thoughts? You are very welcome. The only in-state guy they're evaluating for 2021 is Smoky Hill's Jalen Weaver. I think with such a large class to fill (at least five) they're going to want a few to sign in November. But given they have four true frosh coming in as well as Barthelemy, going into next spring with one or two in the pocket would give them options. Thanks for the chat today, Pat. I was impressed with the class Tad was able to get for 2020, especially the additions to the late signing period. He has another big class to fill for 2021 and has a good start with Lovering. Who else do we have a chance at getting? Do you think Tad waits for the late signing period again to get most of the commits? Any pac 12 caliber Colorado kids in 2021?VERY good ball-handler, which is something they always miss when Wright's not on the floor. I think he's quicker than Wright with the ball in his hands and is a solid shooter as well. I think he is a 'safer' passer than Wright in that once he's the full-time PG he might have fewer eight-assist games, but I think he'll have fewer 4-5 turnover games too.what have you do you think are the strengths and weaknesses of Keeshawn Barthelemy? I have read good things but of course I have not seen him.Oh I don't think Schwartz will be the 2. He will be the 3, same as this past year. I meant the 4-5 rotation is likely to begin with Horne, Battey & Walton. I think it will be the same as this year with a competition for that 2-guard spot between Parquet, Barthelemy, and Clifford. You think that the front court will be Battey, Horne, and Walton. So Schwartz will be the 2 guard? Do you think that gives them enough ball handlers? That's not Schwartz's strong suit. Schwartz undoubtedly will play a lot, but he really is more suited to small forward. What are the chances that Barthelemy and McKinley (assuming he returns) are the starting backcourt next year? Both play point, but Barthelemy is electric (from my limited views) and I think will deserve major minutes. One programming note while we have a moment. The plan is for Brian Howell to resume his live chat on Monday. I won't have one next week but we'll do this again on Friday May 8Along those lines, Walker is only 17 and they'll presumably have Battey, Horne, and Walton in the frontcourt rotation. He said he was considering a prep school anyway, so I'd think he could be a redshirt candidate as well. Those four incoming freshmen definitely all have to get in the weight room. I think Clifford will be in the rotation immediately. His minutes will depend on his D. There could be a redshirt in there. I wrote about this the other day, but the red tape facing da Silva as a new international student right now could force a redshirt upon him.How big of an impact do you see the class of 2020 making? It appears in video they all need to add some muscle other than Horne.I don't think they wanted two transfers, so he might have been an option besides Horne. I had a story the other day about how they really wanted a good nucleus in the 2020 freshman class, given the restrictions they are facing right now in recruiting endeavors. They have the 7-footer from Wyoming, Lawson Lovering, coming in 2021K-State signed 6-11 JC center Carlton Linguard, who CU was pursuing. Was he Tad’s first choice for the spot later taken by Da Silva? It sure would have been nice to have another true center on the roster. Right now, all we have is Walton, since Battey is undersized for that position.Hey Richie. Thanks for the kind words, and same to you. He has until June 3 to make that decision. He hasn't offered his own timeline, but just a guess that we'll hear something later in May, after finals.Pat, I hope you are doing well and thank you for holding the chat. I am very excited about the recruiting class, but more curious about McKinley. When do you expect him to confirm what is to be expected that he is coming back?Yes, but I feel like that happens often as it is. There will be an impact, and I think at first the transfer numbers will go up. But they've been going up anyway, and I think after a few years go by those numbers will even out a bit.I can envision a situation where there are mass defections from a program when it appears a coach is on the hotseat or actually has been fired. That's a good point, and one I thought of too. I tried to chat with Rick George when the news broke the other day but it didn't happen. If he holds form he will do another media conference call this upcoming week and hopefully we'll get clarification on the bonuses. I think it was Iowa State that wiped performance bonuses off the ledger for the upcoming yearVery cool to see CUAD coaches and RG take pay cuts. Also know Boyle declined ncaa bonus, wondering what is status of RG bonuses for this year. And if Kennedy will decline any bonuses.I believe that vote is May 20, and the belief is that it will go into affect immediately. Meaning someone like Daylen Kountz will be eligible immediately at Northern Colorado. And yes, I think it will increase the number of transfers overall, especially at first. When will the NCAA make its decision on whether to give D1 FB and BB players a one-time right to transfer and play immediately? How likely is it that it will start beginning the next school year? Do you think such a change will dramatically increase the number of transfers?I can't quantify that precisely without a bit of research, but suffice to say it's millions. Yeah, for a guy that struggled to stay on the field this past season, that late setback definitely didn't help. We'll find out tonight just how much it hurtHow much money does Laviska stand to lose going from a first round selection to a second rounder. The core injury sure didn't help him.I think it was more physical. In '17-18 he was fairly light on his feet but that was missing this past year. I haven't caught up with him in a bit, but I know the plan was to dump that bulky brace next season.Do you think Dallas Walton’s issues in trying to return to his late 2017-2018 season form are physical or mainly mental? That's fair. But they don't often get four star guys. Both Walker and Clifford are by 247Sports. I also think the staff did a great job reloading on the fly in the wake of the offseason departures. Sure, the players still have to prove it. But I think they went out and got the pieces they needed.Isn't it a little premature to call the 2020 class "Impressive 2020 class". They haven't proven anything yet.I'll be here for the next hour. Be happy to talk hoops, NFL draft, or whatever ever else comes to mind. I'm like everyone else expecting to hear Laviska Shenault's name tonight. Thanks for tuning in folks! Hope everyone is well out there. It's been six weeks since I scrambled home from Vegas from the P12 tourney. Seems like ages ago and just yesterday at the same time.Greetings Buffs fans. We will begin at noon.
