The University of Colorado track and field program closed out a busy weekend of competition with a pair of top-10 marks in school history in the mile at the Husky Classic here Saturday.

Both Eduardo Herrera and Karina Mann jumped into the CU record books as Herrera ran 4:00.66 to finish 10th in the men’s mile and Mann ran 4:39.07 to finish 13th in the women’s mile. Herrera’s mark is good for seventh in school history while Mann’s is good for fifth in school history.

Also in the miles today was Rachel McArthur who finished 17th in 4:42.68 seconds, Annie Hill in 4:46.19 and Olivia Brooks in 4:57.32. On the men’s side, freshman Noah Hibbard made his debut running 4:02.68.

Also closing out the middle distance was Jonathan Horton in the men’s 800 with an eighth-place finish at 1:52.06. Justice Ramos was right behind him at 1:52.80 while Josh Ramos ran 1:54.04.

The 4×400-meter relays closed things out across the nation at the Tyson Invitational in Fayetteville, Ark., as the women combined for a 3:40.91 for 10th and the men’s team of Kendal Smith, Nathan Hoy, Garrett Nelson and Aaron McCoy ran 3:11.18 for eighth.
