Julia Lisella named Pac-12 lacrosse defensive player of the week

PUBLISHED: | UPDATED:

After recording 13 saves in a top-20 matchup against No. 14 Florida on Feb. 8, Colorado Buffaloes senior Julia Lisella was named the Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Week on Monday.

This is the second time in Lisella’s career she has earned the honor as she was also honored on March 12, 2018. Her performance against the Gators helped the No. 18 Buffaloes in a closely contested match that saw Florida come away with the narrow 11-10 win.

She recorded a .542 save percentage in the effort while making 10 or more saves for the 18th time in her career. Seven of her saves came in the first half, while the other six were in the second. She added three ground balls.

Colorado will be back in action Feb. 21 against Harvard at Kittredge Field for its home opener at 4 p.m.
