Chat begins at noon MT. All righty folks I have to call it here. Have a trip to the airport on the afternoon agenda. Thanks for tuning in and taking part. We'll have full coverage from Lawrence this weekend at BuffZone.com and we'll chat again next week. Thanks.....Pat R.Those guys go up strong but still need to finish better. Like I said in an earlier answer, Bey needs more shot attempts. It is so nice to finally see guys go up with authority to the rim - for the most part - like Battey, bey, Walton and even weight and Schwartz - versus the days watching in frustration as a big talented guy like josh scott just couldn’t bring himself to gonup dtrongNo worries, thanks. I hope it fills up because it's a great atmosphere when it is!The first three home games LAST YEAR were under 6,000 is what I meant. Worded that poorly. Apologies. Not yet. They actually are slightly ahead of last year's pace. The first 3 home games were under 6,000. Only Irvine so far was under that, and barely (5904). If they keep winning I expect it to keep filling up a little more. That 8 pm weeknight start vs Loyola didn't help, but the students have shown up fairly well so far.Is there any talk about basketball attendance this year? I was hoping to see the Events Center mostly full this season with the expectation of a good team coming back. Seems like the crowds so far have been about the same as past years.Got time for a couple more but please get 'em in now!He is putting together a heck of a career. And like Derrick White, he's a great example that you don't have to be on everyone's draft board when you're 18 in order to realize those NBA dreams. How great is it to see spencer dinwiddie light it up and be the talk of the nba somewhat!!? Such a good and smart guy and player and great ambassador for comoradoObviously I'm not as in touch with that program, but based on some of the comments this week they want someone with head coaching experience. They got a bit of a deal, comparatively speaking, on his buyout so I don't think money will be a huge issue.I like Mike bono and am sorry to see him go. I think CSU is at a serious crossroads for the proven ridht now. Do you think they have the money to try to get some kind of a name like a Jeff tedford who could injext some life or that they’ll have to settle for the hot coordinator route if they can even attract one of those types given how far theylve fallen?I like Utah. Probably no surprise there, but I think the game will play out like we'd expect. That Utah D is legit.Any prediction for tonight's PAC 12 title game?Right now, I like Eli. Gatling is a hot-and-cold shooter who is solid on defense, but Parquet is bigger and doesn't need to look for his shot. I think Kountz can play his way back into that role, but after his slow start I like this setup. Plus, Tad made a good point about Parquet being able to help McKinley defensively a little out of the gate. MW logs a lot of minutes. I like the offense Kountz and Gatling can bring off the bench.Who do you think should be the starting SG?Definitely Kelly at UCLA. The showed a little bit of signs of life in the second half of the season. Year 3 for Kelly there will be huge for him next year. Are you more surprised that chip kelly is struggling at UCLA or Kevin sumlin at Arizona? Who would have thought that those two guys have been major disappointments so far while Jonathan smith at Oregon state and germ Edwards are looking good so far!!?They've been letting him come along slowly. His minutes have been OK. Really would have liked to see him finish a point-blank attempt against Loyola with a dunk instead of trying to lay it in. But he might be a factor tomorrow against KU 7-footer Udoka AzubuikeWe have not seen much of Dallas Walton at all. Are they taking it slow with him getting back into playing again or does he not match up well with opponents so far?I think he's better. Maybe not by giant leaps and bounds, but he's better. He hasn't had more than 3 turnovers in any game, and he's handling the ball 90 percent of the time. He's 3-point shooting was much improved last year and I would expect him to shake off the bad start he's had from the arc. He's better at finding open shooters.Do you believe M Wright has improved much from freshman year? Seems to be pretty much the same player. There were some very good Buffs teams that went to KU and played poorly. I have something posting soon looking at some of those matchups. Even a Chauncey-led ranked CU team lost by 40 there. And yeah, I was thinking a 12-point deficit too, something like 83-71.Given the lack of offense and turnover issue I can’t envision cu looking good against Kansas on their court, can you? If this was a Spencer’s dinwiddie, Andre Roberson and askia booker team that could catch fire I would but not this bunch with the offense and turnover issues. What’s your score prediction? I’d love to see a cu win but I think it’ll be 76-59 loss. The turnovers aside, they need to get more paint touches. Bey has had only nine shot attempts in the last two games. They need him near double-digits every game. Same with getting the ball to Battey on the low block. There were a couple instances in the Loyola game where I thought guys passed up on easy possible entry passes to Battey. What is missing in the buffs current offensive flow in basketball? Why so disjointed with an experienced team?Kind of the same answer on this one. Turnovers indeed have been a recurring theme under Tad. I thought in a good season Wright would finally be a solid 2-to-1 on assists to turnovers. He was early, but he's just a shade under that now.Same tune different season. I love tad but why can’t they solve this perennial turnover issue!!? Against weak teams like sacramento state and lmu they can’t hold onto the ball. When it’s the same problem every year there is something amiss in the coaching and/or drills. Has tad reached outside for help to your knowledge?I don't think it's been so much as lack of spacing. Most of the turnovers have just been plain sloppy mistakes. A missed catch, or a lazy one-handed catch, or letting your heels touch the end line, careless passes. The Buffs have done all these things. Seemingly fixable, but you should expect this kind of sloppiness from a veteran teamwhy are the buffs so sloppy on offense? Is lack of spacing an issue?I'll be here until 1 pm; but one programming note, I know sometimes I'm happy to go a little over the hour mark, but today I'll have to close up right at 1. Have stories to file and a flight to catch!I'm inclined to say no. I think they'll scour the grad transfer market for a QB. But that doesn't mean it won't be Lytle or Stenstrom. I'm like Buffs fans on this one--curious to see how that QB situation shakes out in the next few months.Do you think next year’s starting QB is currently on the roster?Nothing is wrapped up until signing day They'll be on the road working on recruiting right up until then.Hi - not a KU question, sorry. 😐 Any other big recruits on the board for Mel & Gang or is this pretty much wrapped up?Good afternoon. Hope all is well. Ready to go here so feel free to fire away with questions and thoughts about tomorrow's big game. And as always, happy to take non-hoops questions too.Greetings Buffs fans! Get your thoughts and questions together. We'll start right at noon MT.
