The University of Colorado volleyball team opened its season-ending homestand with a four set upset win (25-15, 25, 23, 23-25, 25-18) over No. 24 California on Friday night at the CU Events Center.

The Buffs (12-15,4-13 Pac-12) broke a three-game losing streak with the home victory.

Jenna Ewert had another strong game with 42 assists and also contributed one ace. Justine Spann had 12 kills, six blocks and an ace in the home victory, Sterling Parker contributed 14 kills.

Colorado had a .301 hitting percentage while holding Cal to just .188.

Colorado continues its homestand on Sunday against Stanford. The match is set to begin at noon.
