The University of Colorado soccer team dropped their regular-season finale on Thursday to Utah 1-0 in Salt Lake City.

The Buffs (11-7-2, 3-6-2 Pac-12) could still have a strong enough NCAA Tournament resume even with the loss but will have to wait until Monday to their fate.

Utah scored the only goal of the game in 17th minute. The Utes’ Ireland Dunn scored and was assisted by Krisitn Fairbaim. Utah had 16 total shots in the game.

Colorado goalie JJ Tompkins kept the Buffs in the game with her strong play in the net. Tompkins had eight saves in the game but the CU offense didn’t muster much in the loss.

The Buffs had only six shots with one them being on goal. Taylor Kornieck led the Buffs with three shots.
