Notes: CU opened the season Thursday with a 2-0 win against Drake, but coach Danny Sanchez expects a tougher battle from Boston, which opened with a scoreless draw Thursday at Denver. “Sunday, at home, under the sun, we really have to pick up the tempo and really take advantage of being home,” Sanchez said. “We’ll recover and be ready to go.”…Kornieck and Stephanie Zuniga paced the win against Drake with a goal and an assist apiece…The Buffs have never played BU…Following the opening win against Drake, Sanchez declined to reveal which of his freshmen goalies, Megan Short and Emma Miller, is serving as the backup behind Tompkins…Boston’s roster features Ashley Buck, a freshman from Peak to Peak Charter…CU’s season-opening six-game homestand continues Thursday against Kent State.
