CU Buffs get pledge from 3-star defensive end

Colorado adds one player to 2020 class, but loses another

Colorado added yet another player to its football recruiting class for 2020 on Monday.

Devin Grant, a defensive end from San Antonio’s Antonian College Prep, gave his verbal commitment to the Buffaloes and announced his decision on Twitter.

“I’m proud to announce that I’m verbally committing to the University of Colorado,” he wrote.

Rated a three-star recruit by 247Sports.com and Rivals.com, the 6-foot-4, 235-pound Grant has more than 20 scholarship offers, including from Boston College, Colorado State, Kansas, Oklahoma State and Utah.

Grant is the 12th player committed to CU’s 2020 class, and the eighth to give a pledge in the past two weeks.

The Buffs also lost a commit on Monday, as safety Joe Perkins, from Madison-Ridgeland Academy in Mississippi, decided to re-open his recruitment. The second player to commit to CU for 2020, Perkins had originally given his pledge on May 5.
