The seventh annual Kyle MacIntosh Memorial 5K Fun Run will be held Sunday on the University of Colorado-Boulder campus.
The race is part of the Buffs4Life weekend and is in memory of former CU track and field athlete Kyle MacIntosh, who passed away in 2015 after a battle with Ewing’s sarcoma and a brain aneurysm.
During the past six years, the race has raised more than $90,000 for CU families in need. The proceeds this year will benefit the 529 College Fund, which was established for the children of former CU football player T.J. Cunningham, who was killed in February.
The run will begin and end on the Buff Walk next to Folsom Field. Cost to participate in the race is $25, although kids under 18 are free. It is $90 for a team (up to five runners). Check-in begins at 8 a.m., with the race starting at 8:30 a.m. After the race, there will be food, fun and games.
