The Colorado football team has added another pledge for the class of 2020.
On Wednesday night, cornerback Gavin Holmes, from Archbishop Rummel High School in Metairie, La., announced his verbal commitment to the Buffaloes.
In a statement on Twitter, Holmes wrote: “I am forever grateful for the opportunities that have been presented to me, but I know this is the right decision for me to better myself as a student-athlete. This has been a dream of mine since I was younger playing park ball, and now I can turn it into a reality.”
Holmes is the sixth player to pledge to CU for the 2020 class. Listed at 5-foot-10 1/2 and 150 pounds, he has a three-star rating from 247Sports.com.
Holmes recently attended a camp at CU and received a scholarship offer after his performance. He also has offers from Louisiana-Monroe, Nicholls State, Northwestern State and Southeast Louisiana.
