The Colorado soccer team will head to Paris, France, on Saturday, kicking off its 2019 foreign tour. The tour coincides with the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

The Buffaloes will leave from Denver International Airport on Saturday and stop in Reykjavik, Iceland, before touching down in Paris on Sunday morning.

The trip is a mixture of business and pleasure for the Buffaloes. CU is set to play three friendly matches during the team’s stay. The first of which comes right away on Monday, June 10, against ES 16 (8 p.m. CEST). The match will be played outside of Paris at Stade JSC Pitray Olier.

The team is scheduled to visit landmarks like Arc de Triomphe, the Eiffel Tower, Le Louvre and Place de la Concorde early in the trip. Other notable destinations include the river Seine and Versailles before transferring south to Montpellier on June 13. The sightseeing wraps up with a visit to Nimes (June 16) stopping at key points along the way.

The Buffs will take in two World Cup matches on the tour. CU will be in Auguste-Delaune II Stadium to see the United States open its tournament against Thailand (June 11). The team will also take in Brazil vs. Australia (June 13).

The team returns to Denver on Monday, June 17.
