The University of Colorado women’s volleyball team added Iowa State transfer Meegan Hart, head coach Jesse Mahoney announced Tuesday morning.

“We are very excited to add Meegan to an already deep and talented 2019 class,” said Mahoney. “Meegan’s experience having already competed at a high level in the Big 12 will translate nicely into our program here at Colorado. She is a long and dynamic athlete with a very fast arm – and has the versatility to play in the middle or on the right-side depending on our needs. Meegan has the tools to contribute on the court from day one this fall.”

Hart, a 6-2 middle, is a redshirt sophomore that has been on the Cyclones roster for the past two seasons. She missed most of her freshman season from injury and redshirted her sophomore season after another injury. She has played in 14 sets for Iowa State, earning 15 kills in 2018 with a .265 hitting percentage and 11 blocks (1.38 per set) before missing the rest of the season.

Hart’s best game came last season when she started against Montana and had a career-high nine kills and .467 hitting percentage. She also had four blocks in the match.
