For the third straight season, the University of Colorado Buffaloes (10-7) are heading to the NCAA Women’s Lacrosse Tournament as they will face Dartmouth College (11-5) in the first round on Friday, May 10, in Boston.

The winner of the first round match-up will play the host, No. 2 seeded Boston College (19-1), on Sunday, May 12. Times for the games have not been set.

“We are really excited. We knew down the stretch, particularly in April, that we had to win some games to give ourselves a shot and to get into the tournament is really exciting for us and we are looking forward to it, ” Colorado coach Ann Elliott Whidden said.

The NCAA field consists of 28 teams. The first and second rounds will be played May 10 and 12, while the quarterfinals are set for either May 18 or 19 at campus sites. The final four will be played May 24-26 at Homewood Field at Johns Hopkins University, in Baltimore, Md.
