Senior Miranda Stinson set a Colorado lacrosse record with seven goals in the Buffaloes’ win against Michigan last year.

After stumbling at home Friday against No. 6 Stony Brook, the Colorado women’s lacrosse team will try to get back on track when the Buffaloes host No. 25 Michigan Sunday afternoon. A look at the matchup:

No. 25 Michigan at No. 14 Colorado

RECORDS: Michigan 4-0; Colorado 1-2.

KEY PLAYERS: Michigan — A Adriana Pendino, Sr., 13 goals, two assists; A Caitlin Muir, So., five goals, seven assists: A Lilly Grass, Jr., 10 goals, zero assists. Colorado — A Miranda Stinson, Sr., eight goals, four assists; A Samantha Nemirov, Sr., seven goals, two assists; MF Sadie Grozier, So., four goals, one assist.

NOTES: Michigan represents the fourth consecutive ranked foe for CU to begin the season…CU is 3-0 all-time against Michigan, but this will be the first time the Wolverines have played in Boulder…CU posted a 20-10 win against Michigan in the season-opener last year in Florida. Stinson set a single-game team record with seven goals that was twice matched later in the season by since-graduated Darby Kiernan…The Buffs will be off until they open Pac-12 Conference play at Stanford on March 8.
