Notes: After posting the top two shutout streaks in terms of minutes in program history last season, the Buffs again are flashing strong form defensively, beginning the season with four shutouts covering 380 minutes. Another shutout against the Cyclones would make the current shutout streak the fourth-longest in CU history…The competition will increase once Pac-12 play begins, but so far Barton is on pace to set the team record for goals in a season, with Kornieck on pace to do the same in assists. Nikki Marshall holds the CU goals record with 17 in 2006 and Kathryn Grandinetti owns the assists mark with nine in 2003…Five players already have collected multiple assists for CU, including two freshmen in Emily Groark (3) and Jesse Loren (2)…Watson posted the first solo shutout of her career Friday against UTSA…The Buffs are 13-2-1 all-time against the Cyclones with a 9-0-1 mark in the past 10 matchups…Iowa State opened the season with a 2-0 win against South Dakota State but has scored just two goals while going 0-3-1 in the four matches since. The Cyclones are coming off a scoreless draw Friday at the University of Denver…The Buffs travel out of state for the first time this season with matches at Marquette on Thursday and at Michigan State Sept. 9.
