Another top in-state recruit has decided to stay home for college.
Cherry Creek outside linebacker Alec Pell announced on Twitter on Monday that he has committed to play for the Colorado Buffaloes.
Pell had previously committed to Boise State.
“After a lot of thought and discussion with my family, god, and coaches, I have decided to switch my commitment and attend the University of Colorado to further my academic and football career,” he wrote.
Rated a three-star prospect by 247Sports.com and Rivals.com, Pell, who is 6-4, 220 pounds, has 13 offers, including from Air Force, California, Colorado State, Iowa State and Wyoming.
Pell is the 17th player to commit to CU for the 2019 class and the fifth from Colorado.
As of Monday afternoon, Rivals.com has CU rated with the No. 3 class in the Pac-12, while 247Sports.com has CU rated with the No. 4 class in the Pac-12 for 2019.
