A pair of recent Colorado graduates have received a huge boost in continuing their education.

The Pac-12 Conference announced its annual winners of its postgraduate scholarships for the 2017-18 school year. One male and one female student-athlete are selected from each university, with Buffaloes skier Ian Boucher and former soccer player Mikaela Kraus receiving the honor from Colorado.

Boucher and Kraus will receive $9,000 postgraduate scholarships to continue their education.

Boucher, a Nordic skier, is graduating in August with a degree in finance/accounting. Boucher served on CU’s student-athlete advisory committee and is planning to continue his postgraduate studies at CU in accounting and data analytics.

Kraus was a senior on the 2016 women’s soccer team, playing in all 22 games as a senior and appearing in 71 in her career. Kraus earned a sociology degree at CU and is planning to attend law school in her hometown at the University of San Diego.
