For the second straight week, CU’s Darby Kiernan has been named the Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week and Sarah Brown has picked up the Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Week honor, while the Colorado women’s lacrosse team moved up in all three polls this week.

The Buffs earned a pair of Pac-12 wins last week and are now 11-4 overall and 8-1 in Pac-12 play. They are ranked 11th in the NIKE/U.S. Lacrosse Magazine poll, 13th in the Cascade/Inside Lacrosse media poll and is 15th in the IWLCA Division I Coaches Poll.

The Buffs moved to the top of the Pac-12 standings with their 11-10 overtime thriller against Stanford on Friday. CU led the entire game, but with just over a minute remaining, the Cardinal tied the game up at 10-10. In overtime, both teams has changes, but CU’s Samantha Nemirov ended the game 2:49 into the frame after she found the back of the net. CU also had a decisive 18-11 victory over California on April 15.
