Former Colorado star Derrick White is coming up big in the G League playoffs.

Derrick White certainly is making the most of his time in the NBA G League.

The former University of Colorado basketball star scored 35 points Sunday night for the Austin Spurs in the first game of the G League Finals. White went 11-for-20 from the field and a perfect 10-for-10 at the free throw line. Austin plays at Toronto in Game 2 Tuesday night with a chance to close out the best-of-three series.

It was White’s fifth 30-point performance over his past 12 games with Austin. In three playoff games, White has averaged 31.7 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 3.3 assists while shooting .516 from the floor (32-for-62) and .941 at the free throw line (16-for-17).

A first-round selection (29th overall) by the San Antonio Spurs, White has appeared in 17 games with San Antonio this season.
