The Colorado women’s lacrosse team jumped two spots to 16th in this week’s Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) poll after notching a pair of victories last week in Boulder. CU is 17th in the Cascade/Inside Lacrosse media and NIKE/US Lacrosse Magazine polls.

The Buffs scores a 10-7 upset of then-No. 16 Southern California last Friday and then followed that up with a 16-3 thrashing of Arizona State on Sunday. CU is now 9-4 overall and are tied for first in the Pac-12 at 6-1.

The Pac-12 has three teams ranked this week, including Stanford at 11th in the media poll and 12th in the other two. USC fell to 18th in the USL poll and 20th in the coaches poll.

Colorado squares off with Stanford on Friday before travelling to Cal on Sunday.

For the second time this season, the Buffs swept the Pac-12 Conference weekly awards. Darby Kiernan was named the Offensive Player of the Week, while Sarah Brown was selected as the Defensive Player of the Week.
