LAS VEGAS— Pac-12 Conference basketball will continue to be a March staple in Las Vegas.

On Thursday, commissioner Larry Scott announced a one-year extension that will keep the men’s basketball tournament in Vegas through at least 2020. Additionally, Scott announced the women’s tournament will be held in Las Vegas in 2019 and 2020.

This year marks the sixth consecutive season the men’s tournament has been held in Vegas, with the 2018 tournament unfolding for the second straight year at T-Mobile Arena after four years at the MGM Grand.

The women’s tournament will be held at the MGM Grand in 2019 and the Mandalay Bay Events Center in 2020. The women’s tournament was held in Seattle the past six years, but a pending massive renovation at KeyArena forced the league to find a new home for the event.

In the 2017 men’s tournament, the first one held at T-Mobile Arena, drew a league-record 86,910 fans over the four-day competition.
