For the second time this season, Colorado women’s basketball player Annika Jank has been named the Pac-12 freshman of the week.

Jank, from Edina, Minn., had a career-high 22 points and pulled down 10 rebounds in a 70-67 win at Colorado State on Wednesday. She helped the Buffs improve to 7-1 on the season.

Going into Monday night’s game against Dartmouth, Jank was averaging 13.4 points, a team-high 8.1 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game. She has connected on 50.6 percent of her shots and has recorded three double-doubles in eight games.

Jank was also honored as freshman of the week on Nov. 20. It’s the first time CU has had a freshman honored twice since Arielle Roberson received recognition five times during the 2012-13 season.
