Colorado’s Annika Jank was named the Pac-12 women’s basketball freshman of the week on Monday.

A 6-foot-3 forward from Edina, Minn., Jank averaged 12.5 points and 9.0 rebounds in CU’s two wins last week. She posted her first career double-double (14 points, 12 rebounds) in a win against Miami.

Since CU joined the Pac-12 in 2011, Jank is the third Buff to earn freshman of the week honors. Arielle Roberson was honored five times during the 2012-13 season and Kennedy Leonard once in 2015-16.

CU will return to the court on Friday at Noon against Mississippi Valley State in the first round of the Rocky Mountain Hoops Classic at Coors Events Center.
