Oregon State receiver Seth Collins could see time at QB against Buffs

One wrinkle the Buffs could see this week is Seth Collins back at quarterback for the Beavers.

Collins is an athletic receiver at Oregon State, but was the starting quarterback for the first seven games of the 2015 season. His last start at quarterback came against CU, on Oct. 24, 2015. He was benched in that game, a 17-13 CU win, and has thrown just four passes since.

However, given the way Arizona’s dual-threat quarterback, Khalil Tate, shredded the Buffs last weekend — breaking an FBS record for rushing yards by a quarterback with 327 — Head coach Mike MacIntyre wouldn’t be surprised to see the Beavers use Collins in that type of a role this week.

“Yeah, I would think they would,” MacIntyre said. “We’ve been practicing for that. I would think they would. We’re going to practice for him being at quarterback some and running around. I would if I was them.”
