CU linebacker Drew Lewis vs. Arizona QB Brandon Dawkins

The Colorado junior has wreaked havoc on quarterbacks all season. He doesn’t have any sacks, but he’s got four QB pressures and he’s delivered several hits on passers this season. With Dawkins’ ability to run and throw, Lewis could be keyed in on him much of the night.

CU receivers vs. Arizona secondary

At some point, the Buffs figure to start hitting some big plays in the passing game. They’ve hit some against Arizona the past two years. If Shay Fields, Devin Ross and company can get past the Arizona defense, quarterback Steven Montez has the arm to get them the ball.

CU offensive line vs. Arizona front seven

It’s been a roller-coaster of a season for the CU line. The group hasn’t had a great game yet and could be using their fourth different starting lineup in six games. Regardless of who starts, the Buffs needs the line to step up and control the line of scrimmage in this game.

CU cornerbacks vs. Arizona receivers

While the Buffs are mainly concerned about Arizona’s run game — with good reason — the ability to lock down the passing game will make that easier. CU’s corners, led by Isaiah Oliver, are talented and often make even great quarterbacks look mediocre. If they’re blanketing the Arizona receivers, it’ll make life easier on the front seven to stop the run.
