The Colorado lacrosse team put together the best season of the program’s young history this past spring.

The Buffaloes’ quest to keep the program on an upward trajectory begins this fall.

On Friday, CU lacrosse released its fall schedule, a ledger that includes matches against four solid Division I opponents as well as an intrasquad scrimmage and an alumni game. The alumni game and intrasquad scrimmage will be open to the public at Kittredge Field.

The Buffs play at the University of Denver on Oct. 14, and two weeks later they travel to Northwestern for two days of contests against multiple opponents on Oct. 28 and 29. CU plays Northwestern and Marquette on the first day before facing the Wildcats again along with Notre Dame the following day.

CU finished 16-4 last season and reached the NCAA Tournament for the first time in the program’s four years of existence. The Buffs were eliminated in the first round by UMass. The team’s 2018 schedule will be released later this fall.
