University of Colorado skier David Ketterer won the men’s slalom race Wednesday at the Alpine NorAm Cup held at Spruce Peak in Stowe, Vt.
For the CU freshman, it is his second slalom victory at a NorAm cup event in three weeks, backing up his victory on Dec. 18 at the Canada NorAm Cup held in Panorama, British Columbia.
Ketterer’s two-run total time of 1:55.48 was 0.21 seconds faster than Hig Roberts to take first-place in the race. Roberts, a native of Steamboat Springs, Colo. who skied collegiately at Middlebury, is a now member of the U.S. Ski Team.
With his win, Ketterer scored 11.71 FIS points, which will again help lower his point tally like it did after his win at the Canada NorAm Cup. In the latest FIS points list standings released on Dec. 29, Ketterer was ranked 84th in the world in the men’s slalom.
