CU Buffaloes football nets verbal commit from Texas OG William Sherman

The momentum on the football recruiting trail keeps rolling for the Colorado Buffaloes.

On Tuesday night, CU received yet another verbal commitment for the class of 2017 in offensive lineman William Sherman. As first reported by BuffStampede.com, Sherman moved the Buffs further up his radar as the summer progressed, ultimately choosing to continue his career in Boulder from a list of offers that included, among others, Illinois, Cal, Mississippi State, and Kansas State.

On Tuesday evening Sherman posted a Tweet that read: “It is truly a blessing to say that I am committed to Colorado University!”

A 6-foot-4, 294-pound guard from Allen, Texas, Sherman boasts a three-star rating from Scout.com and is listed as the No. 39 prospect nationally at his position. He is the 17th commitment CU’s coaching staff has landed for the 2017 class, and the 14th to feature at least a three-star rating. The Buffs entered Tuesday with the No. 30 recruiting class nationally for 2017 as ranked by Scout.com.
