CU lacrosse: Miranda Stinson named MPSF Rookie of the Week

Colorado lacrosse player Miranda Stinson was named Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Rookie of the Week on Monday, the fourth player of the week award for CU this season.

Stinson, a freshman from Manakin Sabot, Va., is coming off her best weekend of the season. On Friday, she had a goal and an assist and two draw controls in a 23-0 win over Saint Mary’s (Calif.). On Sunday, she scored a season-high three goals and had one assist for four points.

Colorado (11-4 overall, 6-2 MPSF) will wrap up the regular season at Oregon on Sunday. The Buffaloes have already clinched a spot in the upcoming MPSF tournament.
