Colorado lacrosse player Paige Soenksen was named Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Defensive Player of the Week on Monday. It is the fifth time in her career she has earned the award.
Soenksen, a junior goalkeeper from Encinitas, Calif., posted a 7.50 goals-against average in two road games last week and made 13 saves as the Buffs split two games.
For the season, Soenksen is third in the MPSF with an 8.07 GAA and fourth with a .442 save percentage. She has started every game in CU’s three-year history.
CU will play at UC Davis on Friday.
