Victories always tend to gloss over any team’s shortcomings. And despite a critical one-point win against Washington on Saturday, the Colorado Buffaloes showed once again that turnovers remain the team’s most prominent issue heading into the final five regular season games.
Despite a solid effort on Thursday that saw CU commit just eight turnovers against Washington State, the Buffs resumed their careless ways on Saturday, committing 22 turnovers against the Huskies. Washington converted those miscues into 27 points. CU also committed a season-most 24 turnovers two games ago at Oregon State.
Josh Fortune was the biggest culprit on Saturday, committing a season-most seven turnovers. Tory Miller, Xavier Talton, Dominique Collier and Thomas Akyazili were charged with three apiece.
