Former CU women's basketball player Jenny (Roulier) Huth was hired on Monday to be the head coach at the University of Northern Colorado.

Huth was a four-year letterwinner at CU from 1998-2002 and ranks second in career 3-point percentage (.407), scoring 1,399 points. The Buffs reached the NCAA Tournament in her final two seasons, including a trip to the Elite Eight as a senior.

Since leaving CU, she had two-year coaching stints at Florida State and Oakland (Mich.), and spent the last seven seasons at UCLA. Huth takes over a Bears program that won a program-record 26 games and reached the NCAA Tournament in 2017-18.

"I'm so thrilled for Jenny to return to her home state of Colorado to take on the challenge as the new head coach of the Bears," said Ceal Barry, Huth's coach at CU and CU's current senior woman's administrator, in a statement. "As head coach, Jenny will bring great energy and passion each day, along with a will to win with integrity."
