Being a ranked team hasn't been the ideal situation this season for the Colorado volleyball team.

Last week the Buffaloes slipped into the No. 25 spot of the national poll for the third time this season. Like those previous two times CU went winless as a ranked team, suffering losses last week in top-25 showdowns at UCLA and USC.

While the defeats ended a run of seven wins in eight matches, they did little to dampen the Buffs' NCAA Tournament hopes with four games remaining in the regular season. The Buffs begin the week at the No. 21 spot in the RPI, and they have a prime opportunity to bolster those credentials as the two teams at the bottom of the Pac-12 Conference standings visit the Coors Events Center this weekend.
