University of Colorado redshirt freshman Taylor Joachim has been selected to the USA Volleyball Collegiate National Training Team-Indianapolis program.

The squad of 36, which is part of USA Volleyball's High Performance pipeline and is considered a second tryout for the U.S. Women's National Team, will train and compete from June 21-30 in Indianapolis. After the program is divided into three 12-player rosters from the training portion, the competition phase involving a round-robin tournament of the three squads will take place June 26-29 under the same roof as the USA Volleyball Girls' Junior National Championships.

"This is a great opportunity for Taylor and we are very excited for her," Colorado head coach Jesse Mahoney said. "With three Buffs competing on Collegiate National teams this summer, our program is looking forward to how their collective experience will benefit our team next fall."

Joachim was named one of six opposites on the team. She redshirted the 2015 season, but is no stranger to USA Volleyball. In 2012, Joachim was a member of the USAV Girls Youth Continental team that competed at the USAV High Performance Championships in Des Moines, Iowa. During the 2013 and '14 seasons, she was a member of the USA Junior A1 Red Team that won the women's international junior division.
