GREELEY -- In her first race since finishing second at the NCAA cross country national championships, Colorado's Jenny Barringer won the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the Tom Benich Invitational on Saturday.  Full Story

PALO ALTO, Calif. -- Colorado senior Stephen Pifer ran the fastest 5,000 meters in the nation Friday night to win the event at the Stanford Invitational.  Full Story

FORT COLLINS -- Colorado's Brandin Williams won the javelin throw at the at the Rob Upton Invitational at Colorado State, leading the Buffs in a sweep of the top five positions in the event Saturday.  Full Story

Heading into Saturday's Potts Invitational, Stephen Pifer had not raced since the end of November, when he earned All-American status by placing 34th in the 2007 NCAA Cross Country Championships. Saturday, at the 2008 outdoor season-opening Potts Invitational, Pifer shook off the rust to set a Potts Field record in winning the 1,500 meters in 3 minutes, 47 seconds.  Full Story
