Colorado senior Ania Anuszkiewicz and sophomore Winde Janssens each earned their first-ever Pac-12 Conference singles matches, but it wasn't enough for a Buffs victory Saturday. CU fell 4-3 to Arizona State at the Whitman Tennis Center in Tempe.

Janssens beat ASU's Hannah James 7-6(3), 6-1 at No. 2 singles and Anuszkiewicz topped Clare Frye 6-1, 6-3 at the No. 5 spot. The Sun Devils had to forfeit the No. 6 singles spot because of an injury, giving the Buffs' their third point of the match.

Colorado fell to 7-13 overall and 0-9 in Pac-12 play. Arizona State is 11-8 overall and 3-6 in conference action. CU closes the regular season at Utah on April 21.
