Beat: CU Professor, Ecology and Evolutionary Biology
Bio: Undergraduate degree from the University of Connecticut, Ph D from State University of New York at Stony Brook. Arrived at CU in 1974, currently chair of the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology.
Jeff is a geneticist studying patterns of genetic variation and processes that produce evolutionary change in natural populations. His current research subjects include marine mussels, pine trees, cutthroat trout, and endurance athletes. He has published two books and approximately 150 papers and book chapters.
Jeff’s hobbies include scuba diving, camping, bicycling, photography, skiing, and riding a motorcycle.
